The rift from the water tower is situated at the periphery of the woods below the area of Vrchlúky, above Vlkolínec, in the cadastral area of Ružomberok. It is built 90 metres away from hiking signpost “Sedlo pod Sidorovom”. You can get to the vicinity of the rift along the field road running from the signpost. The road runs downhill, to the right of the road to Vlkolínec.

Information:
– The water surfaces from a steel pipe with a lid, below a concrete extension.
– The water flows out from the rift only at the times when the water tower situated above the rift is full of water.
– You can hear the sound of the flowing water from the pipe.
– Passing in the vicinity of the rift (60 m) is a green-marked hiking trail running from the centre of Ružomberok, above Vlkolínec, to the Liptov branch of the Great Fatra ridge, a yellow-marked hiking trail running from Biely Potok, through Vlkolínec, to Hrabovo, a yellow-marked bike trail connecting Biely Potok and notch Sedlo pod Sidorovom, and a bike single trail called “Rozprávkové Enduro“ running around peak Sidorovo.
– Passing in the vicinity of the rift (90 m) is also a red-marked hiking trail running from the centre of Ružomberok, through the ridge of Sidorovo, to ski resort Malinô Brdo.
– The rift is situated in the protected zone of the Great Fatra National Park.
– The rift is situated in the protected zone of the monument reserve of Vlkolínec.
