The spring is situated above the village of Podšíp in the cadastral territory of the town of Stankovany. It surfaces in a slope, a few metres away from the periphery of the woods. It is located approximately 80 metres away from the hiking signpost at Podšíp. You can get to the vicinity of the spring along a trail which turns away from the yellow-marked hiking trail leading to Šíp.

– The water is led from the spring through a wooden conduit, from which it flows into a wooden basin.
– Through a hose, the water is led from the basin into a tank at the periphery of the woods.
– There is a simple wooden fence around the spring.
– The spring is situated in Šípska Fatra, which is a sub-part of the Great Fatra.
– The spring is used by hikers and cabin owners.
– Passing in the vicinity of the spring is a yellow-marked hiking trail from Stankovany, through Šíp, to Dierová.
– In the vicinity of the spring, you will find the beginning of the green-marked hiking trail running to Stankovany.
– Passing in the vicinity of the spring is a blue-marked bike trail from Ružomberok, through Stankovany, to Podšíp.
