The cross is situated at a natural viewpoint below peak Zvolen. It is located on a stone block at the border of Ružomberok district and Banská Bystrica district. It is located approximately 600 metres away from the top station of the cableway at Nová Hoľa.

– The wooden cross is fixed to a stone block with a metal bracket.
– The cross is north-oriented.
– It is located approximately 100 metres away from peak Zvolen.
– The arms of the cross are reinforced with strip iron in the shape of a cross.
– Passing in the vicinity of the cross is a yellow-marked hiking trail running from Nová Hoľa to Liptovské Revúce.
– Passing in the vicinity of the cross is red-marked long-distance hiking trail E8, called “Cesta Hrdinov SNP“ (Trail of SNU Heroes).
– The view from the cross includes Donovaly, Prašivá, Nová Hoľa with the cableway, rock Majerova Skala, Krížna, Kozí Chrbát with the Staré Hory Mountains, Poľana, the Vepor Mountains or the Kremnica Mountains.
– The cross is situated in the Great Fatra Mountain, in the sub-part of Zvolen, which is situated in the protected territory of the Low Tatras National Park.
