Malinô Brdo

The Malinô Brdo ski resort is one of the most important and most modern ski resorts in Slovakia.

Its great advantage is that it is situated practically directly in the town of Ružomberok. Its starting point is the station of the cable car lift in the Hrabovská Valley, which is situated approximately 2 km away from the town centre.

The resort has 12 km of ski runs available to the skiers. The longest ski run is almost 4 kilometres long and it belongs among the longest ones in Slovakia.

A modern, eight-seat cable car lift is in operation during the ski season. Its track is 1770 metres long and it can transport 1500 persons in an hour. The upper part of the resort has a four-seat chair lift, which travels a distance of 1130 metres. The chair lift will take you all the way to the top of Malino Brdo, situated at an altitude of 1209 metres. In the case of favourable weather conditions, this place offers a beautiful view. Particularly impressive is the view of the Choč massif.

In addition to the lifts, there are also two ski tows and 4 tows for beginners and children. In total, you can ski on seven ski runs of different difficulty levels.

Free-style snowboarders and skiers can test their skills in the adrenaline Snow Park. Waiting for them in the Snow Park are eight types of obstacles.

The surroundings of the resort also provide opportunities for cross-country skiing, hiking and ski mountaineering.

The resort also has a skiing and snowboarding school with experienced instructors, who will teach you how to ski or snowboard in a proper manner.

If you do not have your own skiing equipment, you can rent it in the rental shops situated at the resort. There is also a storage service for your luggage.

In the winter season, there is also a ski bus in operation, which takes you from the town of Ružomberok directly to the resort.

The area also offers many accommodation options of various types: hotels, apartment houses, guest houses or cabins.
