Surroundings

In the surroundings of Ružomberok, there are several small, medium-size and large towns, which also offer their visitors many attractions worth seeing. We can mention, for example, the largest Liptov town of Liptovské Sliače, which is known particularly for its folklore and also for its depiction of the holy virgin from the church of Simon and Jude, which used to decorate the one-thousand Slovak Crown bill. The town of Lúčky is known particularly for its medicinal spa and a beautiful waterfall situated directly in the centre of the town. Bešeňová is known mainly for its water park situated in the town, Ľubochňa is known for the Institute of Endocrinology. However, there is far more that the above mentioned and other towns in the surroundings of Ružomberok have to offer. That is why we decided to prepare for you an overview of what is worth seeing in the individual towns, including pictures for illustration.
