Jubilee Linden Tree Garden in Likavka

The linden tree garden is situated in the Kramariská Valley, behind the town of Likavka, it lies approximately 4 km away from the centre of Ružomberok.

It was planted by the foresters from the forest-sector governance office in Likavka on October 28, 1928, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic. In the centre of the garden, there is a stone granite boulder inscribed with the year of 1928, standing on a concrete base. Forming a circle around the granite boulder are ten large-leaf linden trees.

In 1928, jubilee gardens were planted all over the Czechoslovak territory on the basis of an ordinance by the General Directorate of State Forests in Prague.

Nearby, there is a memorial site with a memorial to the murdered rebel soldiers from the time of the Slovak National Uprising.
