The spring is situated under trees at the mountain pastures between the Upper and the Lower Šiprúň notch, approximately 300 metres away from a hiking trail. The water surfaces from a rocky bed above drinking basins. There is no trail leading to the spring, but you can get there through pastures from the Šiprúň notches.

– In an iron pipe, the water is led from the spring into drinking basins.
– The spring is protected with an electric fence. The old wooden fence is damaged.
– The water is used as a water source for livestock.
– Passing in the vicinity of the spring is a red-marked hiking trail from Černová, through Šiprúň notches, to Podsuchá.
– Passing in the vicinity of the spring is a green-marked hiking trail running through the Liptov branch of the Great Fatra ridge from Ružomberok.
– Passing in the vicinity of the spring is a blue-marked bike trail from Ružomberok, through Smrekovica, to Podsuchá.
– The spring is situated in the Great Fatra Mountain, in the protected zone of the Great Fatra National Park.
